macOS builds are Developer-ID signed and notarized. Windows builds are not yet signed — installing on Windows currently requires turning Smart App Control off. A code-signing certificate is on the roadmap.

What you get
A daemon. No cloud dashboard.
- Endpoint agent that takes screenshots and evaluates them with your BYOK LLM.
- Not covert. The endpoint user sees the process and (on Windows) the Start Menu shortcut. Not tamper-proof either. Backstop is a tool a parent uses, not a cage that binds a kid.
- Blocklist enforcement via hosts file and Chrome / Edge group policies.
- Auto-update from a signed manifest anchored to a key we cannot export.
System requirements
What the endpoint needs.
- Windows 10 (build 19041+) or Windows 11.
- macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- Admin credentials on the target device for install and permission grants.
